This year our school will be using an online hall pass tool called SecurlyPass. Students will utilize this system to request a hall pass while in class. The number of hall passes that your student will have available will still be determined by their individual teachers. As a default, we have set the number of hall passes per student per term at 24. This number was determined as an average of 3 hall passes per class per term. Students who have health needs or other unique circumstances where they need to leave their class frequently will continue to have those needs met.
This new hall pass system will help us maintain a safe and orderly school. By using this system, we will ensure that students aren't overusing hall pass privileges, going to locations they shouldn't be when using a hall pass, and/or meeting up with friends during class time. In the coming week students will be trained on how to use the online pass system.
